My qualification

Before 2005, the idea of teaching foreign languages did not even crossed my mind and as Dante in the Divine Comedy got lost in the dark forest, I too found myself lost in Terra Brasiliensis. I was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and with little money. Being agronomist, computer scientist, photographer etc. I thought it would have been easy to find a job in the areas I had tried in the past but it wasn’t. Although I had previously written articles for an English language magazine (Manager, Bangkok) and for many years only spoke in English in some of the countries where I lived (Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Australia, Thailand, Japan) I’ve always felt being a native speaker in Italian and French. In fact, looking for a job, I proposed myself above all as a professor of Italian and French. In one of the schools where I started working, I was asked to teach English. From that moment on, broken the ice, English became the language that proved to be very important for my economic survival in Brazil.

When I left Rio de Janeiro to settle in São Paulo, the demand for English was so overwhelming that I invented the joke that in the economic capital of Brazil even dogs want to bark into English. Usually Brazilians consider speaking English very important for their career even if it is just bragging. Interestingly rich Brazilians learn French to nurture an image of high cultural profile. On the other hand, Italian is particularly sought after by Italian descendants planning to travel to Italy.

Language courses

Basic Italian

It is aimed at beginners and those who have difficulty in expressing themselves in the Italian language. Basically during the first part of this course the main focus will be on grammar rules but just basic ones

Intermediary Italian

It is aimed at those who can express themselves but whose articulation of sentences is not fluid and the comprehension of oral Italian is not satisfactory

Advanced Italian

It is aimed at those who, having a good knowledge of the Italian language, feel the need to practice it systematically in order to maintain and improve its smoothness and fluidity.

Basic French

It is aimed at beginners and those who have difficulty in expressing themselves in the French language. French has in common with Italian, grammar that is almost identical and lexical proximity (91% of words are similar). The real "obstacle" is represented by the phonetics and the high number of vowel sounds compared to Italian.

Intermediary Frech

It is aimed at those who can express themselves but whose articulation of sentences is not fluid and the comprehension of oral French is not satisfactory

Advanced French

It is aimed at those who, having a good knowledge of the French language, feel the need to practice it systematically in order to maintain and improve its smoothness and fluidity.

Basic Spanish

It is aimed at beginners and those who have difficulty in expressing themselves in the Spanish language. Spanish has phonetics similar to Italian but many people are wrong to think so. There are almost 5,000 words of Arabic origin in Spanish and that says it all.

Intermediary Spanish

It is aimed at those who can express themselves but whose articulation of the sentences not è fluid and understanding of oral Spanish not è satisfactory

Basic Portuguese

It is aimed at beginners and those who have difficulty in expressing themselves in the Portuguese language. There are some significant differences between Portuguese spoken in Brazil and Portugal. The basic grammar rules do not change, but the Brazilian way of speaking will be enhanced compared to Continental Portuguese.

Intermediary Portoguese

It is aimed at those who can express themselves but whose articulation of sentences is not fluid and the comprehension of oral Portuguese is not satisfactory

Basic English

It is aimed at beginners and those who have difficulties in expressing themselves in the English language. There are no real phonetic rules in English. It is often necessary to memorize the pronunciation of words. English is the result of a mixture of Germanic languages (Frisian, Anglo and Saxon) with Scandinavian languages (Danish and Norwegian) with 40% of French vocabulary.

It is aimed at those who are able to express themselves but whose sentence articulation is not fluent and their understanding of oral English is not satisfactory

Advanced English

It is aimed at those who, having a good knowledge of the English language, feel the need to practice it systematically in order to maintain and improve its smoothness and fluidity.

ATT!The first lesson in the language of your choice is free. Lessons will be delivered via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. If you find me suitable for your needs, the next step will be to establish a program and objectives. Payment has to be done in advance the 20th of the previous month via Paypal or bank transfer. Usually more lessons per week, cheaper the individual lesson.
